Generally, PGx tests are considered to be accurate. We at RPh LABS utilize CLIA-certified  COLA-accredited  laboratories, ensuring the highest degree of accuracy in genetic analysis.

We store your data securely and confidentially. Only you and your authorized healthcare providers will have access to it. The data we collect is stored following HIPAA and other healthcare laws and regulations.

As per Mayo Clinic, the (PGx) test results can help you tailor your treatment based on your genes. That too, is for the present as well as your future medications.

This test is not yet covered under your health insurance. If you have a specific diagnosis and are taking certain prescription medications, only in that case some of the insurance companies may cover pharmacogenetic testing. However, to make testing accessible to everyone, RPh LABS offers you a 4-chunk payment plan.

Indeed. It involves only 4 simple steps which are listed as follows;

  • Order; Place your order online with an option of interest-free installments.
  • Perform; Receive the kit and fill the swab (included in the kit) with saliva.
  • Return; Return the sample using the prepaid envelope.
  • Results; After we have received your sample, your results will be uploaded on the portal within 7 – 10 business days.

You may find PGx testing centers near you. However, you can do it within the comfort of your home and receive your reports on an easy portal. You may order here.

Unless you have a specific diagnosis and are taking certain prescription medications, Pharmacogenetic testing is not covered under your health insurance. Medicare coverage for pharmacogenomics testing would be possible only in certain cases. According to uhcprovider pharmacogenomics testing will only be considered necessary in certain cases, such as when the patient has been diagnosed with a medication that has a known Gene-drug interaction(s) and the test meets evidence standards for genetic testing or the prescribed medicine is listed in the FDA table of known Gene-drug interactions.
